Unofficial Interlude

The Unofficial Interlude is Jude's first fanfic. The original is rated NC-17, but she did tone it down for anyone who doesn't like to read fiction like that, so there is also a PG version. This fanfic led to many more, all with Orlando Bloom in them, since no other actor/character inspired her to write about them. This fanfic is about Legolas and takes place during the Fellowship of the Ring from Lord of the Rings, before and after the Council of Elrond. If you'd like to read it, you'll have to join the forum and post at least once. The NC-17 version is highly sexual and is only available to Active (see Group Levels) members and above. This fanfic is continued in The Half Breed.

There was a time shortly after posting this fanfic that Jude almost removed it from the Internet. Some ignorant and/or jealous person went to Amazon.com and posted nasty "reviews" on all her books, even though he/she hadn't read any of them. This person slandered Jude and her writing and painted quite a negative picture of this fanfic (if anyone is curious, the "review" was posted on Formerly Brandewyne). After discussing it with the members of her msn group (pre-forum) and her friends/family, she decided that instead of removing it (along with the rest of her fanfic), she would make it so that only people who requested the NC-17 versions could read them. They were moved to her forum in mid 2007.

Amazon.com has since removed the ability to post a review unless you have actually read the book in question. I guess there were quite a number of invalid "reviews" such as the ones this ignorant person posted about Jude's works. It's just a shame there will always be such childish people in the world that feel the need to slander other people.
