The mind is a delicate flower that has special needs in its care. It can wield great power and control our bodies at will. Yet our heart is the organ the mind finds the most difficult to control. Emotion is a powerful drug when combined with an aching heart. It has the power to lead men and women astray as they seek their perfect soul mate. How well they control their doubts, fears and inadequacies dictates the direction of their lives. Hollywood holds many young people's minds in awe. It is a place where fantasy and reality mix until they become one. Where dreams of fame and fortune come tumbling down, shattered by broken promises. Monique Hunter was a Jack Bloom fan. She had seen all of his movies more than once. Yet not in her wildest fantasies did she truly feel that she would ever get to meet him. Yet fate dealt her a wonderful surprise one day in her hometown of El Paso. A stranger spoke to her in a downtown car park. To her astonishment it was her film idol in the flesh. Before she realized what had happened in her life, they were out dating. Then to top it all she found herself offered a part in his latest film. Shooting of the film would take place at a secret location in the desert near El Paso. Their relationship developed to the stage where she was madly in love with Jack. Yet it was one filled with self-doubt and danger. Monique sensed an unknown tragedy waiting to strike at the core of her life. She also held a fear of rejection from Jack Bloom. To her he was able to have women on demand. Why he really wanted her was the question that gnawed at her soul. Jude Liebermann has crafted a romance story that will give fans of this genre an engrossing read. It is a book that I strongly recommend.
