A big thank you to everyone who has bought my new erotic/sensual book Kings of Klenar on Amazon, which also inspired you to buy the erotic sequel, Sierra Sky.  These unexpected sales was the best Christmas present I could ever hope for!  Be sure to leave out some reindeer chow alongside Santa’s cookies and milk!

2 cups Wheat Chex
2 cups Rice Chex
2 cups Corn Chex
2 cups Cheerios toasted oat cereal
2 cups unsalted pretzels
2 cups M&M’s plain chocolate candy
1 (8 ounce) package white chocolate baking squares
1 cup unsalted peanuts

Directions:
1 Mix wheat chex, rice chex, corn chex, cheerios, peanuts, m&m, in a large bowl.
2 Spread a large sheet of wax paper over counter top.
3 Melt white chocolate squares in microwave.
4 Pour melted chocolate over mixture.
5 Mix together very fast.
6 Spread evenly over wax paper and let dry, then break apart!  Your reindeer will love it!  Not to mention what else you can do with melted chocolate.  🙂  I think trouble is brewing in the kitchen. Enjoy this special holiday teaser of my WIP story, Jixit:

Dot spread the wax paper on the counter top and listened to the sound of the microwave behind her.  She wasn’t sure how long she needed to heat the chocolate for it to melt sufficiently. She wasn’t a fan of white chocolate, but she was afraid of what the reindeer chow would look like if she used dark chocolate.  Her mom made the stuff every year for Christmas, so maybe making it for herself would make her a bit less homesick.

The microwave beeped, so she stepped back and turned to open the door and pull out the bowl.  Burning her fingers on the glass, she yelped and nearly dropped it. Not wanting to clean splattered goo off the floor and cabinets, she tossed it from one hand to the other before depositing it on the counter.  As she stirred the melted mass in the bowl, Dot perused the ingredients again.

“Damn, forgot the peanuts.”

Heading for the pantry, she opened the door and looked through the shelves, finally spotting the can on the bottom shelf.  She bent over to get it when strong hands gripped her hips and a familiar hardness ground against her backside.  She sucked in her breath, but didn’t move at first, instead enjoying the feel of his body behind her.

“Now I can’t remember why I came in here.”

She laughed, finally straightening to turn toward Colin.  “Coffee?”

His sexy smile made her go wet, and she licked her lips.  She wanted him to kiss her, but she knew he wouldn’t…not yet.

“That’s it.  What are you doing in here, with that cute butt of yours in the air like that?”

“I’m making reindeer chow.”

He didn’t ask, but his expression did.  He’d obviously never heard of it before.    She held up the peanuts.

“I’ll show you what it is.”  Walking back to the counter, she put the peanuts into the bowl with the rest of the dry ingredients before reaching for the bowl of melted white chocolate.  She tipped the bowl and let the contents pour over the cereal and chocolate candies.  Colin dipped his finger into the bowl of hot chocolate.  She tried to stop him, afraid it would still be too hot, but he lifted his finger to his mouth with a smile.

“I love white chocolate.”

Her breathing sped up as he rubbed the chocolate across his full lower lip and then slowly licked it off.  Swallowing hard, her fingers tightened on the spoon as she shoveled spoonfuls of the reindeer chow on the wax paper without watching what she was doing. She couldn’t take her eyes off Colin.

“Do you know where else I’d like to put this?”

Her stomach clenched as a wicked image ran through her mind, but she innocently shook her head.  “I know where I’d like to put it though.  Close your eyes and don’t look down.”

Grabbing the bowl with white chocolate, she dropped to her knees in front of him.  His grey sweat pants did nothing to hide the obvious erection beneath the thin material.  Dot tugged the front of the pants down and his hardness sprang free.  Dipping a few fingers in the chocolate, she nodded to see it was nice and warm.  She ran those sticky fingers down the length of him, and slowly followed that path with her tongue.

Kings of Klenar will be sold as erotic and sensual romances!

After discussing this with my mom (yes, she knows I write erotica and has even read some of it), I’ve decided that starting with Kings Of Klenar, I will start publishing all my erotic stories with two versions.  One will be as intended, hot sex and all, and the other will be edited for those who would rather all the hard core stuff be left behind closed doors.  This idea came to me after asking my mom if she wanted me to edit out the explicit stuff so she could read the story, since that’s what I did with Sierra Sky.  When she said yes, it hit me that there are many women out there who feel the same way, and I don’t want to exclude any of you who don’t want to read smut.  After all, I am a big fan of sensual romances. I wrote them well before I started writing erotica.

So then I wondered, how am I going to differentiate the two when I publish them? I don’t want to create two covers, so I came up with putting “erotic” or “sensual” on the cover and made the erotic Cass a bit sexier. I’ve posted the two different versions of Kings of Klenar below. The hot pink is erotic and the yellow is sensual, which means any sex included will have minimal description. The main story is highly sexual, so yeah, there will still be sex. Just not graphic and there won’t be explicit language either. I’m pretty good at editing those things out, so no one should even be aware there is anything missing, since all other aspects of the story will be intact.  As a side effect, the Sensual version will naturally be shorter, but both versions will sell for the same price.

Hopefully this will open up the world of Klenar to new fans. If I thought I could get away with doing the same thing for Sierra Sky, I would, and I will as soon as my exclusive rights with Total-e-bound have lapsed. That is if it doesn’t cause any conflict with them, since I don’t want to damage the relationship I have with that epub.

I’m currently working on the first edits of Kings of Klenar. When that is finished, I will then start working on the Sensual version and most likely upload them both at the same time to Smashwords and Amazon.  It will probably be around the first week of November, so stay tuned.

Luna and Cassandra Sky

kokcoversmallI was so excited that I’m almost finished writing the rough copy of Kings Of Klenar, I worked on the cover the last two nights.  I will attach it when I get home tonight, since I think I will polish it up a bit more before making it public.  But I’m really excited about it.  I wasn’t sure what I wanted on the cover, since Sierra stood alone on her cover.  Did i want the covers to be a bunch of men to signify all the kings or did I just want the main king, Luna, to be represented?  And of course I wanted Sierra’s mother on there too, so I found the perfect photo of a couple that I could manipulate to create both Luna and Cass.  While she was easy to fix, he was more complicated.

For those who haven’t read Sierra Sky, Luna is over 7 feet tall, with long dark hair, luminous round violet eyes, translucent skin that shimmers  purple  in the sunlight and has freakishly long legs, arms and neck.  Sexy, right?  LOL But of course he’s hot!  So how do I put all that together on a cover and make him look appealing?  I think I managed to do it, and  I hope you all like what I came up with.

Kings of Klenar will be published soon!

It feels like it has taken forever to write this story.  It’s one thing to have a general idea of what happened between Luna and Cass Sky before Sierra Sky was born, but it’s quite a whole different ball of wax to actually write the story.  There is a lot of time that passes between the time they meet and she is born, and weaving that together with the stated facts from the sequel already in place is a bit tougher.  Especially when I was forced to make a few changes by the many editors at Total-e-bound.

Since KOK will be published on my own (through Amazon and Smashwords et al), it won’t be held under the same scrutiny, so I have much more creative control over what will appear in the finish version.  I’m still debating ignoring the changes made in Sierra Sky, put a disclaimer at the beginning of KOK and keep everything as is, or adjust the story for the differences.  I guess I’ll hammer all that out during the editing stages, but one thing I’m certain of is that KOK will be one of the longest books I have written to date.  No, it won’t be a 100,000 word epic, but it will be longer than my 50,000 average.  I’m guessing somewhere around 65,000 words or more.  Considering that Sierra Sky is much shorter, this length surprises even me.  🙂

When I get it polished up a bit, I’ll post a few saucy teasers on the forum.  I’m probably going to price this erotic sci-fi interspecies romance novel at $3.49 like my other full length recent novels, and it will be priced the same on all platforms (Smashwords will distribute to Barnes & Noble, Sony, Kobo, Apple and a few other places).  I hope it does well, and you all like it.  I’ll try not to get my feelings too hurt by any one star reviews!

Six Sentence Sunday – 2/12/12

For my 2nd 6 Sentence Sunday I will post a few more sentences on Sierra Sky, which has been out for only a week. For those hold outs maybe this will convince you to head on over to Total-e-bound.

His lips met hers in an explosion of passion. Her tears wet both their mouths as tongues grappled in an age-old war. He groaned in pain and pleasure as his strong arms pressed her to him.
She sifted her fingers through his long coarse hair, gripping fistfuls to hold his mouth in place, as she feasted on him. He tasted as good as he smelled, and she could die happy knowing she had sampled him. Her tail instinctively wrapped around them both, the tip hovering, not sure where to go.

Six Sentence Sunday – 2/5/12

I’m always looking for new ways to promote my writing, and I stumbled upon a site called 6 Sentence Sunday. Authors all over the web post 6 sentences from their work, either published or unpublished, and then link to that site. So here are my 6 sentences from Sierra Sky, which is being released tomorrow at Total-e-bound.com:

Expecting her fingers to get sticky and damp from her own blood, she held her breath as she explored where the snake was attached. When she felt dry skin and no sign of teeth or fangs, she deepened her exploration. She stroked and probed until she became certain that it wasn’t a snake…but a tail.

“I have a tail.” It was supposed to be a question but came out as a statement instead. “How can I have a tail?”

Sierra Sky’s new release date!

Sierra Sky was supposed to be released January 16th, but due to major delays in editing, it was pushed back.

Those edits are now concluded, and the new release date is February 6th. I’m still a bit disappointed at this delay, but they are accepting pre-orders. So be sure to head on over to http://www.total-e-bound.com/product.asp?strParents=&CAT_ID=&P_ID=1510 and place your orders. As soon as the book is released, it will show up in your VIP account ready to read.

Sierra Sky will soon show up on Total-e-bound

If I have followed the site correctly, new releases come out every Monday. They then update their Coming Soon page to show what’s coming in the next 6 weeks. Once they do that on Monday, December 12th, Sierra Sky‘s cover will appear at the bottom of that page. It should also then have it’s own page with description and link to my bio. I’m so excited, and this has been long coming! So be sure to check out their Coming Soon page Monday night!

I will also be updating the main page of my site as soon as the book has its own page!
