What is Spam?
Hmm…I get asked this on my forum all the time! What is spam?
Well, there are many levels of spam, other than that awful lunch meat that some people seem to rave about (yuck)!
Anyway, back on topic! Here is my list of the top 10 levels of SPAM!
1. Those stupid chain letters that we are supposed to forward to everyone in our contact list or we’ll have bad luck forever or die or lose the one we love.
2. Those urban legends that people insist on forwarding to everyone in their contact list, because they’re too lazy to check www.snopes.com (or the like) to verify it’s real or not.
3. Myspace bulletins that are basically those stupid chain letters that tell us to repost or we’ll have bad luck forever or lose the one we love (I really hate these, too)!!
4. Any Myspace bulletin that has nothing but profanity or tells us to comment on their pics, etc.
5. Myspace bulletins such as “don’t post spam on my page” or “if you don’t repost this you’re two faced or heartless”!
6. Overt advertisements in Myspace comments.
7. Overt advertisements in forum posts.
8. Any nonsensical post, comment or bulletin anywhere on the web.
9. Unsolicited emails
10. Spam bots that join forums just to post crap
I originally posted this a bulletin on myspace, but that will quickly get moved down due to all the crap that gets posted every minute it seems! LOL…It just drives me crazy to read my “friends” bulletins and have it tell me that if I don’t repost their crap that I’m either heartless or two faced or not paying attention. Jeesh, give me a break!! I just wish they would think twice before using their “post bulletin” button!
